MiliChess Privacy Policy

MiliChess is developed and published by Prairieville Games. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, used, and shared when you play MiliChess on Android, Windows, macOS, Steam, or other supported platforms.

This policy describes the game as currently built. If MiliChess adds new features such as accounts, chat, ranked matchmaking, analytics, advertisements, purchases, or cloud saves, this policy should be reviewed and updated before release.

Information We Collect

MiliChess does not ask you to create a Prairieville Games account. We do not ask for your real name, postal address, phone number, contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location.

The game may collect or process the following limited information:

• Local gameplay settings, preferences, display name or callsign, language selection, and similar configuration data stored on your device.
• Multiplayer connection information needed to create or join online matches, including join codes, anonymous player or session identifiers, network routing information, platform type, connection state, and game session state.
• Gameplay state required for multiplayer synchronization, such as selected rules, commander choice, team or color selection, turn state, unit actions, map selection, and match progress.
• Diagnostic information, crash information, device or platform type, app version, operating system version, and similar technical information needed to troubleshoot bugs and improve stability.

Multiplayer and Online Services

MiliChess uses Unity services, including Unity Authentication and Unity Relay, to support online multiplayer. These services may process information required to connect players, route multiplayer traffic, maintain sessions, prevent abuse, and diagnose service issues. Unity may process information such as anonymous player identifiers, IP address or network routing information, device information, session information, and service diagnostics according to Unity's own privacy terms.

How We Use Information

We use information only for purposes related to operating and improving MiliChess, including starting, joining, maintaining, and synchronizing multiplayer matches; saving local preferences and settings; preventing unsafe or inappropriate player names where supported by the game; debugging connection, crash, performance, and gameplay issues; maintaining game security and fair play; and preparing updates, fixes, and platform submissions.

Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to operate the game, including Unity services for multiplayer, authentication, relay networking, diagnostics, and related infrastructure. Platform providers such as Google Play or Steam may also process information under their own terms when you install, launch, update, purchase, or play the game through their platforms.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to investigate abuse, or to defend the rights and safety of Prairieville Games, players, or the public.

Children and Minors

MiliChess is intended as a strategy game for general audiences, but it is not designed to collect personal information from children. The game does not require real names, email addresses, contacts, camera, microphone, or precise location.

Players should not use real names or personal information as their commander handle or callsign. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in a way that is not permitted, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Player Names and User Content

Players may enter a commander handle, callsign, or similar display name. Do not enter sensitive personal information, offensive content, or another person's private information. MiliChess may block or filter certain inappropriate terms.

Data Retention

Local settings and preferences remain on your device until you clear app data, uninstall the game, or change the settings. Multiplayer session information is retained only as needed to operate, troubleshoot, or secure the service, unless longer retention is required by law or platform/service provider policies.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information associated with the game. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to limit collection and use service providers appropriate for game operation.

Your Choices

You can clear local game data through your device settings or uninstall the game. You can avoid online multiplayer features if you do not want to use networked sessions. Platform-level privacy controls may be available through Google Play, Steam, your device settings, or Unity-supported privacy tools.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MiliChess changes, when service providers change, or when legal or platform requirements change. The updated policy will show a new effective date.
